TRAILBLAZING A PATHWAY TO SUSTAINABLE FOOD

SOURCE is our circular, zero waste food model. It combines innovative tech, smart urban farming and circular enterprise opportunities. It's designed to be modular, flexible and scalable across cities, towns and villages, decarbonising food production - a sector responsible for a quarter of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions. It does this by:

  • treating unavoidable waste where it’s produced (we follow the waste hierarchy);

  • using the by-products (bioenergy, bio-fertiliser and compost) to grow food; and

  • prioritising local consumption to preserve nutrients and feed back onto the local economy.

HELP US SET UP A PILOT DEMONSTRATION

Having tested our technology and the circular model across three Living Labs in London over the last 8-years, we now want to scale up an exciting pilot demonstration and are looking to raise £182,500 to cover materials, equipment and labour and evaluation.

With your support, we will engage the target community, build and optimise the technology and test the business model over 18-months. We’ll also create a SOURCE blueprint, making it easier to replicate the solution across neighbourhoods. Your contribution will help make a vital move towards:

  • Reimagining our cities, towns and villages as thriving centres;

  • Revitalising communities with green enterprise opportunities;

  • Reconnecting people, food and nature in a move towards one planet living.

 We will pilot SOURCE at the Teviot estate in East London, which is due for regeneration with master-planning starting 2022. A successful pilot could lead to integrating smart, circular infrastructure and services into the wider new development across Lansbury – a milestone in urban planning.

Help us realise this vision and take the next step towards a sustainable future.
